Our seminar for August will feature professional guide Steve Welch – Steve has been fishing on Lake Shelbyville since its inception and guiding since 1994.
He fishes for Crappie year-round, Walleye from Mid-May through Mid-July, White Bass from Mid-May to November, when the surface temperatures reach 80 degrees or over, in the summer.
He’s an accomplished writer and has written for Adventure Sports Outdoor, Heartland Magazine, the Decatur Herald & Review, and Ilfishing.com.

In the winter, after it ices over, Steve Welch is a seminar speaker and has given fishing lectures, seminars, and informational talks at all the prominent downstate fishing shows.
Steve’s been a member of the Ranger Pro Staff since 2000 and is a touring Crappie U.S.A. Pro. He’s won numerous crappie tournaments, some with over a hundred teams.
